Where is the Town Office?

Contrary to what you might think, the Town Office is not the beautiful white building with the steeple. That is the Rindge Meetinghouse. The Town Office is right next door, at 30 Payson Hill Road. From the intersection of Rts. 202 and 119, take 119 East, and the third right, at the second blinking light, is Payson Hill Road.

Where do I get a new driver's license?

You need to go to the New Hampshire Registry of Motor Vehicles. The closest one is in Keene. They are open on Monday through Friday, 8:15am--4:15pm for drivers’ licenses. You have 60 days after registering your vehicle to obtain a NH driver's license. You will need to bring your birth certificate, social security card, your current out-of-state driver's license, and your New Hampshire vehicle registration (as proof of residence). To get to the Registry, take Route 119 West to Fitzwilliam and a right on Route 12 North to Keene. Take a left on Route 9 West toward Vermont. Go halfway through the rotary and through two lights and the Registry of Motor Vehicles will be on your right, behind Michaels. If you have questions, their number is 227-4020.

Where do I register my car?

Go to see the Town Clerk, Nancy Martin, at the Rindge Town office. You will need to show proof of residency, such as a PSNH or Verizon bill which shows your physical address. If your vehicle is 1999 or newer, you will need your title. If there is a lienholder, they need to send the title to the Town Clerk. For vehicles 1998 or older you will need either a title or a New Hampshire VIN Verification Form (available at Town Clerk's office). The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 – 1:00 and 2:00 – 4:00, 2nd & 4th Thursdays 9:00--1:00 and 2:00--6:30, and Friday from 9:00 – 1:00. How do I dispose of trash?

We have a Transfer Station in Rindge, with a mandatory recycling program. There is no public trash pick-up, but some residents hire private companies. The Transfer Station is located at 113 Main Street. From the intersection of Rts. 202 and 119, take 119 East, and the second right is Main Street. The transfer station is on the left before the Fire and Police Stations. You can purchase a sticker at the Town Office. The price is $20 for a sticker good until the second Tuesday in March, Senior Citizens 65 and older the price is $5. The transfer station is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 – 7:00, Friday 1:00 – 7:00 and Saturday 8:00 – 3:00. If you have specific questions about what can be recycled, please call 899-2107.

Where is the Post Office?

The Post Office is located at 1056 Route 119. From the intersection of Rts. 202 and 119, take 119 East, it’s on the left after the intersection of Cathedral/Payson Hill Road. The phone number is 899-3372.

Where are the schools?

Students in grades K – 5 attend the Rindge Memorial School, located at 58 School Street in Rindge. From the intersection of Routes 202 and 119, take 119 East, and the fourth right is School Street. Students in grades 6 – 8 attend the Jaffrey Rindge Middle School, located at 1 Conant Way in Jaffrey. Their phone number is 532-8122. Students in grades 9-12 attend the Conant High School at 3 Conant Way in Jaffrey. Their phone number is 532-8131. Take Route 202 to Jaffrey. Take a Right at the first intersection and bear right at the next one (do not go left, straight, or right). The Middle School is in front and the High School is in back, on the left side of the street.

How do I get a building permit?

You need to get an application from the Building Department at Town Office. Applications are located on the wall, outside the office. If you have specific questions, contact the Building Department Secretary, Deb Douglas at 899-5181 x109.

How do I register to vote?

There is a TD Bank (603)899-7000, located on Route 202, south of the intersection of Route 119, and GFA Federal Credit Union(membership is eligible to all residents), (603)899-2009, located on Route 202 across from Wal-Mart.

Where do I go grocery shopping?

Market Basket and Hannafords supermarkets are located on Route 202, south of the intersection of Route 119, in Rindge.

Walmart and Olympia Sports are located on Route 202, south of the intersection of Route 119, in Rindge.
