Improving Wildlife Habitat on Your LandPosted Sun, Feb 24 at 11:32am
The Rindge Conservation Commission is holding a presentation for landowners and the interested public on “An Introduction to Improving Wildlife Habitat on Your Land” on Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rindge Community Center on Wellington Road. The presentation will be conducted by Matt Tarr, Ph.D., Extension Professor – Wildlife Specialist for the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension.
This presentation will discuss how people can determine what vertebrate and invertebrate wildlife use different types of forests, fields, and wetlands as habitat. The presentation will then explore practical projects for enhancing those habitats for wildlife and discuss the financial and professional resources available to help people steward wildlife habitat on their land.
The presentation will take approximately one hour. In addition, the Commission will have Wildlife Action Plan maps focused on Rindge on display for the public to review. No reservation is needed. Bring along a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy this very practical and informative presentation.
