There are many functions of the Planning Department; the primary function is to assist all applicants through the Subdivision and/or Site Plan application process. The Planning Department wants to assure all potential applicants that everyone who comes in is treated with respect and the goal is a speedy and fair hearing process.
The Planning Department Secretary is available to assist the public with questions about the Planning Board Application process, Zoning Ordinances and/or any other land use concerns during normal office hours or by appointment. Please feel free to call the Planning Department Office at 603.899.5181 ext. 104 with any questions you may have or to schedule an appointment. Normal office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM - 1:00PM. Appointments later in the day are available for your convenience. Currently, the Planning Director is available on Wednesdays from 9AM to 1PM or by appointment.
If you are thinking about developing or opening a business in Rindge, give the Planning Department Office a call to make an appointment or just stop by. We will be happy to sit down with you and discuss any development plans you may have and explain the permitting process. The Planning Board highly recommends and strongly suggests a preliminary consultation with the Planning Department to anyone interested in building and/or developing in the Town of Rindge.
Planning Board Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month unless otherwise noted. The first meeting of the month is typically to hear applications that are before the Board and the second is generally reserved for Planning Board Work Meetings. Please keep this in mind when submitting an application to the Planning Board.
Subdivision Applications are due at the Planning Department Office at least 21 days prior to the next scheduled public hearing.
Site Plan Applications are due at the Planning Department Office at least 21 days prior to the next scheduled public hearing.
A copy of the Draft Minutes of meetings are available at the town office within 144 hours of the meeting. Minutes are not posted to the website until they are approved by the Board.
