Telecommunications Committee Update - June 2013
The Telecommunications Committee has been actively working to bring reliable high speed Internet service to the residents and businesses of Rindge since 2006. To date, the Committee's efforts have contributed to the improved availability of services offered by several Internet Service Providers.
Fiber to the Premise
Rindge is one of two communities in the State of New Hampshire to receive fiber-to-the-premise under the FastRoads grant. Fiber was strung to over 500 homes and businesses in the most un-served areas of Town in the Spring of 2013, and connections will be made as soon as Internet Service Providers begin marketing their services. To find a provider or learn more information visit the FastRoads Webage at www.newhampshirefastroads.net

Knowing where the various services are available (proprietary information some companies aren't willing to share) is critical to defining goals for the Committee's future work. You can assist, by taking a moment to complete a brief survey(don't forget to take the Speed Test too). The Committee meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Town Office, 30 Payson Hill Road. The public is encouraged to attend and contribute.
