Description:
Coyote Bleux is a duo who write and produce original acoustic music and live here in southern NH. Kip Ferguson and Richard Chisholm formed Coyote Bleux in the early nineties with the album Different Feather, and recently released their second album, Into the Light. Both have worked with others but over time have always returned to the basic acoustic sound of guitar and vocals. Currently they are working on their third recording which you can hear parts of this March 8th, 2019 at the Meeting House Stage.
How it works. Signup begins at 6:30 pm and the music begins at 7:00 pm. Performers are encouraged to sign up for an open mike slot. Sign-up is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Typically each open mike slot is 2 songs or 10 minutes, whichever comes first. Performers can reserve a slot up to a week ahead (no earlier) by emailing dave@meetinghousestage.com.
Thinking about performing? Everybody is welcomed and encouraged to share their talents, but like all things in life, there are Rules. Each month we will have a feature performer who will get a longer, 30-minute slot. Check out our Calendar to see who will be featured at our coffeehouse in the coming months.
Equipment: We have a small PA, five microphones, and two instrument cables that provide sound reinforcement.
Dates: Usually held on the second Friday of each month. Consult the Calendar page to make sure that the open mike is being held during any particular month. Occasionally we may need to move the date for a given month, depending on availability of the venue. For example, in October we'll always be on the third Friday, and in July we are typically outdoors at the Rindge Historical Society on the afternoon of the second Saturday of the month. There is no Meeting House Stage during the month of December.
