Mattabeseck Wildlife Corridor Grand Opening

The Commission invites you to celebrate with us our grand opening of the Mattabeseck Wildlife Corridor on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., rain or shine. The opening ceremony will feature a blessing from the local Abenaki tribe and a ribbon cutting at the trailhead leading onto the property.  Those interested are welcome to participate in a guided walk through this new conservation land.

As you know, the Conservation Commission completed the purchase of 228 acres of the Rindge Stone and Gravel property for the Town of Rindge in May 2022.  The property is now known as the Mattabeseck Wildlife Corridor.
