Part-time Zoning Compliance Officer

The Town of Rindge is seeking reliable applicants for a part-time Zoning Compliance Officer position. The Zoning Compliance Officer is responsible for interpreting and enforcing the Town's Zoning Ordinances. Some of the duties include but are not limited to, performing onsite inspections to determine compliance, explaining and assisting the public in understanding the Town's Zoning Ordinance, working with the Planning Board during the zoning amendment process, and reviewing and issuing sign permit applications. Zoning experience, or related field, with sufficient background to understand the principles relevant to the major duties of the position. Five Years of direct experience on a managerial supervisory level in a directly related field (engineering, construction management, etc.) or broad supervision of all aspects of construction ranging from single family to commercial/industrial and institutional uses and experience in business or municipal governmental operations preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
