The United States is turning 250 years old! Every year, the Rindge Recreation Department partners with the Rindge Chamber of Commerce to celebrate our country and community. Typically known as the Family Fun Festival, this year the event is renamed as "Celebrating America's 250th" to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

at the Rindge Town Common on Main Street
starting at 4:30 pm.

Event Parking
Parking is at the Rindge Memorial School, 58 School Street. Handicap Parking is at Rindge Town Offices, 30 Payson Hill Road. After the parade, the Ingalls Memorial Library parking lot will be available for parking.

Road Closures
Starting at 4:30 pm until 9:30 pm, on Friday, June 26th, the following roads will be closed at the following locations to restrict access to the Common: 

DURATION OF THE EVENT:
On Main Street, when coming from NH Route 119, the road will be closed by the Transfer Station
On Payson Hill Road, the road will be closed after Rindge Town Hall.
On School Street, the road will be closed after the Rindge Memorial School.
On Todd Hill Road, the road will be closed at about 7 Todd Hill Road

BEFORE AND DURING THE PARADE (4:30 pm - approximately 7:00 pm)
On Main Street, the road will be closed before and during the parade, after Lord Brook Road, so traffic can either turn down Main Street towards 202 or go back down Lord Brook Road
On Goddard Road, the road will be closed before and during the parade, before Hillside Cemetery. 

AFTER THE PARADE (approximately 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm)
On Main Street, the road will be closed after the Ingalls Memorial Library.
 
No through traffic will be permitted for the general public. Alternate routes will be provided by the volunteers at the barricades. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. The safety of all residents and visitors to the Town of Rindge is paramount. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Volunteers

If you are a volunteer, please arrive at the event at 4:15 pm. There will be a mandatory meeting for all volunteers at 4:30 pm in the Town Hall portion of the Meetinghouse with the Fire Chief.

Parade

PLEASE NOTE: The Primary Contact who registered to participate in the parade is required to sign a liability waiver form on behalf of the group/organization/family. If you are participating in the parade as an individual, you will be required to sign a waiver. If your child/children are participating, you will be required to sign a waiver form on their behalf.  Waivers will be handed out at the Transfer Station and at the Bike Decorating station on the day of, before the Parade starts. ALL CHILDREN MUST HAVE ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES DURING THE DURATION OF THE PARADE FOR THEIR SAFETY.

PARADE DETAILS FOR PARTICIPANTS: Staging starts at 5:00 pm at the Transfer Station, 115 Main Street, on Friday, June 26th. Please be there promptly at 5:00 pm to check in and sign a waiver form. The parade starts between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Please note that if you arrive after 5:00 pm, you will automatically be added to the end of the line. The parade route is about 1.75 miles long. It starts at the Transfer Station, goes to Hillside Cemetery on Goddard Road, and loops around the Cemetery. Once all parade participants are in the Cemetery, the parade will return to the Transfer Station.

BIKE DECORATING CONTEST: If your child is under the age of 14 years old and would like to participate in the bike decorating contest, or would just like to decorate their bike and not compete, the bike decorating station opens at 4:00 pm and closes at 5:00 pm to line up for the parade.

For all non-food vendors, please enter the Town Common via Todd Hill Road. For all food vendors, please enter the Town Common via School Street. Please arrive before 4:30 pm for set-up. Where you will be located will be marked by a numbered sign, staked in the ground. Do not move your sign. Thank you!
