JRMA STATEMENT
The Town of Rindge and Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance (JRMA) have mutually agreed to continue their longstanding relationship, ensuring the continuation of ambulance services to the community for the foreseeable future.
Founded in 1948, JRMA has proudly served the citizens of Rindge and Jaffrey for more than seven decades and stands ready to continue providing dependable, professional emergency medical services to the residents of Rindge.
JRMA looks forward to working collaboratively with the Town of Rindge’s new Fire Chief, Board of Selectmen, and Town Administrator as all parties move forward with a shared focus on public safety, operational readiness, and community service.
Additional information regarding the continued partnership will be shared as appropriate.
RINDGE STATEMENT
The Fire Department of Rindge would like to let everyone know that the Town and the JRMA have reached an agreement pertaining to ambulance services and that contract will remain for the duration of the year as long as both parties adhere to its provisions. Both Rindge and JRMA have committed to doing so.
In summation, last night the Board of Selectmen met to discuss the future of the Town's ambulance services. They evaluated the newly proposed JRMA contract as well as two other contracts that the Board of Selectmen and Town Administrator worked to solicit.
The goal was twofold - to obtain high quality ambulance services and to ensure a cost that would not be unmanageable for the realities of the Town's budget.
Although we are pleased to report that finality has been brought to this matter, it is equally important to note that much like other goods and services needed for everyday life, the cost of ambulance services are increasing fairly dramatically throughout the State and our region.
Thank you to everyone that worked on or advocated for a positive outcome to the Town.
Additional information regarding the continued partnership will be shared as appropriate.
